There were two very special guest appearances at Adelle and Danny’s wedding at Hylands House last July. Paddy the horse and Ronnie the dog were amongst their nearest and dearest celebrating the couple’s wedding.
Hylands is a magnificent Grade II* white mansion house set in 574 acres of historic landscaped parkland. Certainly, there was more than enough space for Paddy and Ronnie to have a run about. “Hylands was accessible and welcoming to all our family including Paddy and Ronnie who had the best of time”, said Adelle. The couple also surprised their guests with the appearance of a magician and wowed people with their first dance as they had secretly been having dance lessons.
Adelle and Danny both have childhood memories of watching Hylands House develop from a deteriorated building to the beautifully restored, romantic building it is today. Even so they looked at five other venues for comparison before making up their minds to hold their wedding there for 80 day guests and 150 in the evening.
The couple used the magnificent, never- to-be-forgotten Georgian main house for the wedding ceremony and breakfast and the contemporary Grand Pavilion for the evening reception. The house was decorated throughout with beautiful, tall flowers and the Grand Pavilion had a LOVE sign, LED dance floor and lighting.
Adelle took advantage of the light and airy Bridal Room to get ready and add the finishing touches to hair and make-up.
“Hylands is so amazing”, continues Adelle, “we didn’t have to worry too much about extra decorations so everything else was really simple to do. The style of the wedding was guided by the venue. We were going to have contemporary suits for the groomsmen but went for more traditional style ones to tone with the House.”
There was a travel theme with tables named after places around the world which the couple had visited together and the invitations were in the style of plane tickets.
Following the wedding Adelle and Danny jetted off for a mini-moon to Barcelona, followed by a trip to the USA which included Chicago, Hawaii and Las Vegas. Paddy and Ronnie decided to stay at home!
