The UK’s top 10 wedding day fears have been revealed, which include being stood up at the alter, drunk guests, wardrobe malfunctions and bad British weather.
A survey of 2,000 UK adults by EnduraRoses.com has unveiled Brides’ top wedding day fear is being stood up at the alter, with 77% concerned their partner will be a no show.
Almost three-quarters (73%) confessed to being wary of a wardrobe malfunction on their big day, anxious that their dress wouldn’t fit or that it would be damaged during the reception.
69% of brides-to-be were uneasy about the weather on their big day, with Great Britain famous for surprise downpours and unseasonable weather.
More than half (55%) counted drunk guests among their top wedding day woes, while 43% of fiancés’ feared poor guest attendance. 31% of respondents also dreaded the thought of an uninvited guest arriving for the ceremony.
36% of brides-to-be admitted to being apprehensive of make-up or hair malfunctions, with almost a third (29%) nervous of being unhappy with their photographs following the event.
Arguments and disagreements during the big day was a concern for 22%, with ceremonies often including a varied list of friends and extended family.
23% were worried the jitters may take over at the alter and that they wouldn’t be able to get their vows out, while 16% admitted to be terrified of taking a tumble down the aisle.
