A COUNTY Durham hotel is giving loved-up couples the chance to wed like the rich and famous with exclusive access to the whole venue for their special day.
Bowburn Hall Hotel, part of the Ramside Estates group, already promises to only ever host one wedding per day, but now it is giving bridal parties the opportunity to have the whole venue to themselves.
This includes the grounds, all 20 bedrooms, the restaurant and public areas with the hotel closing its doors to any other visitors or customers on the day.
Set in five acres of landscaped gardens, Bowburn Hall Hotel is just two miles from Durham City. Originally built as a country house for the village’s first colliery agent, it was converted to a hotel in the early 1960s.
In recent years it has become one of the region’s leading wedding venues, and offers the choice of tying the knot inside or outside in its stunning landscaped gardens.
General manager, Charlie Eedle, says the hotel prides itself on creating magical wedding days in a unique setting.
“Every bride and groom wants their special day to be perfect and we find many couples want the exclusivity of their party being the only people at the venue,” he said.
“If someone books exclusive hire of Bowburn Hall Hotel, we close the doors to all other visitors, giving the wedding party the run of the venue. They can enjoy our beautiful grounds and gardens along with all our other facilities without worry of being disturbed by other visitors.”
Exclusive venue wedding packages start from just £6,999 Monday-Thursday during off-peak months, and are available for up to 80 daytime and 120 evening guests.
