It’s your day…
Pentillie is very happy to tailor your wedding experience, so if there is something you dearly wish to include in your wedding day, please discuss it with the team and they will do their best to make it happen. They will provide you with a hand-picked list of local suppliers and caterers, chosen because of the excellent level of service and quality they provide, and will offer recommendations as required. They can also assist with activities during your stay, including clay pigeon shooting, falconry, golf, a treasure hunt or a boat trip.
It is unlikely that you will have planned a party like this before, so the excellent team will be there every step of the way, to support and advise you, and co-ordinate all the various parts of the day without ever being intrusive.
Where to say ‘I do’
Pentillie’s extensive grounds offer a variety of licensed locations in which to say your vows… the romantic Victorian Bathing Hut on the banks of the Tamar river is our favourite. But if the weather is glorious you cannot beat an outdoor ceremony by the Loggia on the South Terrace while your guests enjoy far-reaching views to Dartmoor, or the wisteria-covered Pavilion on the Old Tennis Lawn. Licensed locations inside the Castle itself include the panelled Dining Room and intimate Morning Room.
And the party?
The Castle also provides the perfect backdrop for your reception and wedding celebrations once you are married, not to mention truly spectacular photo opportunities. Large lawns can accommodate a marquee if required, the sunny terraces overlooking the gardens and River Tamar make a wonderful setting for your wedding drinks reception and speeches, and the interlinked reception rooms in the Castle itself work wonderfully as an entertainment space if the weather is less kind.
