Following a sell-out first run, British jewellery designer Alex Monroe’s wedding favour pin badges are available again to order online exclusively for Cancer Research UK.
Mr and Mrs Chicken have been created in Alex Monroe’s unique style, with intricate detail, charm and humour to express a bride and groom through the animal kingdom. The pins have been cast from originals hand crafted by Alex and come in a gold plated finish.
The birds are part of a range of wedding favours in aid of Cancer Research UK which includes pin badges, wristbands and packets of forget-me-not flower seeds.
Couples planning their big day can order the favours for their guests, along with personalised cards, elegantly displaying the bride and groom’s names and their wedding date.
As well as being a meaningful keepsake, choosing Cancer Research UK’s favours is a way for the bride and groom to celebrate a friend or family member surviving cancer, or to remember someone close to them.
In return, Cancer Research UK asks that couples make a suggested donation per favour (£2.50 per Mr and Mrs Chicken pin badge) which goes towards the charity’s life-saving work into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of all cancers.
Alex Monroe said: “I was delighted when Cancer Research UK approached me to design a wedding favour for its wonderful range as cancer sadly touches the lives of each and every one of us in some way.
“I’m so pleased this affordable and wearable piece of jewellery, which celebrates the joy of a wedding, proved to be so popular as everyone who orders the pin badges is helping Cancer Research UK beat cancer sooner.
“The final test for our designs is always if members of our team are clamouring to wear them - and Mr and Mrs Chicken definitely passed.”
