This historic family-run hotel, formerly home to Lord & Lady Macdonald, is offering whole-house bookings from November 2017 to March 2018 for up to 38 guests, at hugely discounted rates. With prices from £7,500 per night, (that’s less than £200 per head and saves around £6,000*).

You get to treat Kinloch as a home-from-home while still benefitting from all the services of a hotel; the price includes dinner bed and breakfast each day and a full staff - from bartenders to housekeeping - so you don’t need to lift a finger.

Just across the Skye bridge, at the south of this dramatic island, head down a long drive and at the foot of Kinloch Hill you’ll find this winter-weddinghistoric 16th century hunting lodge sitting proudly on the shore of tranquil Loch Na Dal with its wide-reaching views back across to the mainland.

More about the house

Until recently the home of the 64th Clan Chief, Lord Godfrey Macdonald, his wife the food-writer and cook Lady Claire MacDonald and their children - and still family-run today - Kinloch provides 19 distinctive bedrooms and suites. 

A large elegant dining room and master drawing room provide plenty of space for guests to come together for the ceremony and wedding breakfast, with a further two drawing rooms, one with its own whisky bar, there’s plenty of space to find a quiet corner for a chat with granny, or a romantic interlude. 

Bedrooms and suites are furnished with huge beds, family antiques, prints and paintings and have incredible views across the loch or Kinloch Hill, the luxurious bathrooms feature roll-top baths (some of which have their own epic views) and toiletries by L'Occitane.winter-wedding-2

Guests can ramble around Kinloch’s forest, hills and shore, providing picturesque backdrops for your wedding photos, or enjoy a spot of fishing, foraging or stalking with their own Ghillie, or simply relax in the dedicated spa treatment room.  And because the house is all yours, the Kinloch team can tailor menus, select special wines from their cellar, organise beach bonfires or winter picnics, they’re happy to discuss your specific requirements and have a portfolio of great suppliers.
