The stereotype has long played that the soon-to-be bride will build out an intense beauty, hair and fitness regime in the build-up to their wedding day, however it seems men are now getting in on the act.

Beauty brand Procoal surveyed 1047 married men, to ask them about their pre-wedding arrangements, with some surprising results. To start with, 84% stated they personally plucked their eyebrows before getting married. A further 36% admitted to visiting a spa or salon in the month before their wedding day.

It’s widely known that we’re a nation of dog lovers but if you want your four-legged friend at your wedding is it really possible?

The answer is most definitely yes, after Staffordshire-based dog lover Jacqueline Smith launched Quintessential Wedding Day Dogs, recently.

The self-confessed dog lover, who also has kennels and grooming facilities spotted a niche in the market when her daughter tied the knot and wanted the family’s labrador to be a part of the day.

Colour & Shine Wedding Converse

Splashes of colour and flashes of metallic have been catching our eye at recent weddings, but this trend looks set to fully catch fire in 2019.

All-white is alright, but today’s forward-thinking brides want to make their own rules and define a more personalised and individual wedding. Hot from the catwalk to a wedding near you is this polished new trend: Colour & Shine.

According to Sarah Mahoune, who founded Wedding Converse four years ago, more brides than ever are choosing coloured wedding dresses for 2019, and of course they want to reflect this in their footwear. Deep purples, bold reds and turquoise are all popular, and rose gold is holding strong.
